2 terrorist attacks shakes London, Van ploughs into pedestrians, One Died

A van has run over pedestrians and there have been stabbings resulting in “multiple” casualties on Saturday night in the London Bridge area in what police are treating as “terrorist incidents”. Armed British police rushed to London Bridge after reports of the rogue vehicle, with one woman telling Reuters that she saw people who may have had their throats cut. As the nightmare struck London, several people were reported injured in two incidents --- on London Bridge and in nearby Borough Market. Transport for London said busy London Bridge station and two others were closed at the request of police. UK Govt are apparently using recent terror attacks to bring in new legislation that would force technology giants, such as Apple and WhatsApp, to hand over encrypted data. A report originating with The Sun claims that the Conservative government will lobby MPs to get the new rules, known as the Technical Capability Notices (TCN), through Parliament as quickly as possible after the general election. "We will do this as soon as we can after the election, as long as we get back in," a government minister apparently told The Sun. "The level of threat clearly proves there is no more time to waste now… The social media companies have been laughing in our faces for too long." The British Parliament has passed a motion condemning Pakistan's move to declare Gilgit-Baltistan as its fifth frontier, saying the region is a legal and constitutional part of Jammu and Kashmir illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947. The motion was tabled on March 23 and sponsored by Conservative Party leader Bob Blackman. It stated that Pakistan by making such an announcement is implying its attempt to annex the already disputed area.
