Amid COVID-19 outbreak, thousands of poor people gathered at Rehrri Ghoth in Karachi to receive food supplies and daily essentials. However, those who belong to the Hindu community were told to go back since the rations were only meant for Muslims. Sindh government issued an order to distribute ration lockdown through local NGOs and administration to daily wage workers and laborers.The distribution of food supplies was organized by local government in collaboration with the district government. BSNL planing to start 5G service trials in India by March 2018

The state-owned telecom firm BSNL expects to start field trial of 5G services by the end of this financial year, company’s chairman and MD Anupam Shrivastava said today. “We had interaction with Nokia last week (on 5G). Next we are going to present about our requirements after which field trail concept is there. It should start before the end of this financial year,” Shrivastava told reporters today. The state-run firm has started discussion with Larsen & Toubro and HP for end devices that will be required for 5G services. He was speaking on the sidelines of signing its knowledge sharing agreement on 5G technology with network firm Coriant. NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India’s eighth navigation satellite imploded shortly after lift off on Thursday, state-run Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said. The IRNSS-1H satellite had been expected to join seven others in the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) to take the country a step further to developing its own global positioning system. “Satellite got separated internally but it imploded within the heat shield, in the fourth stage itself,” ISRO Chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar told reporters in a televised news conference. The heat shield is meant to protect the satellite from the heat generated by the friction against atmosphere during take-off. NEW DELHI: In a diplomatic victory, India and China have agreed to "disengage" from the stand-off in Doklam on Bhutanese territory. After almost 10 weeks of sustained negotiations between top-level Indian and Chinese officials, the MEA on Monday said "expeditious disengagement of border personnel at the face-off site at Doklam has been agreed to and is on-going."
