In a new revelation, media has accessed documents which show that at least four companies had donated Rs 50 Lakh each on a single day to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Shiv Charan Goel. The party, however, did not disclose the donation details to the Election Commission about the funding. Notably, AAP is already facing a probe in disclosed funding case after the sacked Delhi Water Minister, Kapil Mishra, alleged party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of corruption charges. Mishra, in a press conference, on Sunday, May 14, also alleged that the ruling party of Delhi is involved in taking donations from various sources. After being embroiled in corruption-related controversies, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) seems to have landed in further troubles as the Income Tax (IT) department on Tuesday initiated legal prosecution proceedings against the party and eventually asked the Election Commission official to cancel AAP’s membership. A media reports, the IT department officials issued a showcause notice to the party and asked “why should we not initiate proceedings against you”. “In view of the above, you are hereby required to showcause as to why prosecution proceedings under Sec 277(A) and 276(C) of Income Tax should not be initiated against you for falsification of books and a willful attempt by you to evade tax,” a copy of prosecution notice read. A 360-foot-high (110 metres) flag post, said to be the country's tallest, was inaugurated at the Indo-Pak Attari Border, just a stone's throw from Pakistan. Punjab Minister Anil Joshi inaugurated the country's largest tricolour on the tallest flag post - measuring 110 metres in length, 24 metres in width and 55 tons in weight.
